The CDC is a not-for-profit corporation; its goal is to promote community economic development with the participation of the community by facilitating and supporting community strategic planning and increasing self-reliance, investment and job creation.

In 2002 the Municipality hired a consultant to develop a Strategic Plan.  One recommendation of the Strategic Plan was to establish a Community Development Corporation.  The CDC was incorporated on October 12th, 2004 and held its first meeting on January 20th, 2005.

Our Vision Statement is to develop and grow as a progressive rural community of choice that recognizes the Value of economic prosperity in the pursuit of enhanced amenities and quality of life.
